I am currently studying Ecology at the University of Innsbruck for my Master’s degree. My general interests include ecology of alpine species, climate-change ecology of mountain areas, molecular ecology, and research of human influence on ecosystems. For my thesis work, I develop and optimize whole genome resequencing methods for small amounts of DNA extracted from Daphnia longispina resting eggs. I compare different DNA extraction and library preparation methods suitable for low amounts of DNA.

Research Topics:

  • Genome and transcriptome biology
  • Speciation and gene flow
