I recently finished my PhD study at the Faculty of Natural Science, Salzburg University. My study focused on mating system and niche evolution of tropical orchids from Madagascar. Now, as a postdoctoral fellow of the Molecular Ecology Group, I am involved in several multidisciplinary projects (speciation, phylogeography, integrative species delimitation) centering on the Alpine space and dealing mainly with invertebrate taxa.
Research Topics:
- Biodiversity
- Bioinformatics
- Climate-change biology
- Ecological niche modelling
- Morphology
- Phylogeny and phylogeography
