After having finished my bachelor's degree in Biology at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, I am now studying Ecology at the University of Innsbruck for my master's degree. I am particularly interested in the alpine fauna because of the extreme environmental conditions it has to deal with and the new changing conditions it faces due to land-use and climatic change.

For my thesis, I am monitoring the species abundance and activity of the alpine epigaeic and hypogaeic macrofauna along an altitudinal transect in Obergurgl, Austria. In doing so, I am analyzing pitfall-trap and soil-core samples from a biannual campaign from 2012 to 2018.

Research Topics:

  • Soil zoology
  • Traditional morphology and geometric morphometrics
