International Master course on AMO physics - report

International Master course AMO physics
mastercourse2025

In April 2025 the doctoral programme Atoms, Light, and Molecules (DK ALM) at the University of Innsbruck, organized for the first time a master course designed specifically for master physics students interested in broadening their knowledge and engaging with leading experts in the field.

Detailed programme: here.

During the master course we offered the participants:

  • Lectures on a wide range of topics: Delivered by DK ALM supervisors, these talks provided an overview of the diverse and exciting research areas in AMO physics at the University of Innsbruck.
  • Lab visits: Participants had the opportunity to tour state-of-the-art research labs, met local scientists, and learned about ongoing experiments within the DK ALM PhD programme.
  • Interactive discussions: Engaged with professors, PhD students, and fellow participants the master course particpants dived deeper into research topics, exchanged ideas, and gained valuable insights into the academic world.

This course was not just about lectures; it had been a platform for building scientific networks and collaborations not matter if the participants will plan potential joint projects, refine their research interests, or simply wanted to gain inspiration for the own academic journey.
