  Taking into account EU and AC policy aims, this survey aims to establish the perception and weighting of main Alpine issues by asking Alpine stakeholders and scientists for their well-founded attitudes on the current and future focal points of and challenges for regional development in the Alps.
 

Step 1: Selection of national experts (May 2005)
Step 2: First round of the survey: explorative phase (June 2005)
Step 3 : Cross-analysis of first round results and preparation of second questionnaire (July 2005)
Step 4: Pretest of questionnaire and discussion of second round survey during Bolzano meeting (August 2005)
Step 5: Second round of the survey: a nalytic phase (September/October 2005); analysis of the answers by each partner; preparation of results in English for CEMAGREF/UNCEM
Step 6: Cross-analysis and preparation of third questionnaire in discussion and exchange with partners (November/December 2005)
Step 7: Third round of survey (January 2006); analysis of the answers by each partner; preparation of results in English for CEMAGREF
Step 8: Compilation of final report by CEMAGREF (February 2006); the final report was sent to the partners for an internal quality control; the results are summarised in an interview given by Vincent Briquel.
Step 9: Urbanisation was determined as one the important trends in the Alpine space (=DIAMONT main trend); the related processes will be studied in more detail in course of DIAMONT project.
