This week: "Climate Change on Long and Short Time Scales" seminar meeting

Thursday, 5 October at 12:00-13:30

The interdisciplinary seminar “Climate change on long and short time scales” starts this week! On Thursday, 5 October, please join us in the Bruno-Sander Haus, 3rd floor, seminar room between 12:00-13:30.

We will kick off the 2017/2018 academic year with a presentation by Dr. Fabien Maussion and Dr. Kurt Nicolussi regarding the new Doctoral Program “Mountain Climate and Environment” (MCE), followed by a presentation from Dr. Gina Moseley titled "Extending knowledge of Greenland's past climate using cave-based deposits"

Everyone is welcome to join. Member are encouraged to sign-up to for this year's program to present their ongoing work. Some quick facts about the "style" of our seminar:
·      informal presentations of interesting results, new projects, open questions, etc.
·      length of presentation max 20 min (plus another ca. 20/25 min for discussion)
·      no more than a dozen slides at most
·      use a simple language – mind the interdisciplinary audience
·      vivid discussions in a casual atmosphere
·      “stupid” questions welcome
·      ...and of course, bring your lunch (some like to call it a "brown bag“ seminar) !
