Stakeholder meetings
At each study site a focus group is set up comprising CARBOMONT scientists, socio-economists (to contribute to a trans-sectoral perspective) and local/regional stakeholders. The focus groups will:
- define likely scenarios of land use in European mountain areas
- evaluate land-use scenarios with reference to an implementation of the Kyoto protocol
- elaborate recommendations for a sustainable rural development of mountain areas.
Stakeholders and end-users from the other study sites of CARBOMONT are invited to take part in the discussions and decisions of the focus groups as well as in the specific end-user workshops.
