Land Use and Land Use Changes
Extant cultural landscapes are driven by (pre-)historical and recent land use, exploitation and socio-economic constraints. We are studying the prehistorical and historical dimension and the effects of land use changes by means of long-term monitoring projects; palynological studies, macrofossil- and non-pollen-morph records as well as by vegetation sampling.
