May 2020 - ORF report - „Vorarlberg Heute“, 31st of May 2020
Machine for controlling cockroaches
In the Montafon, engerlings caused major damage in the previous year. In the valley the pests are controlled with fungi on barley grains, but on slopes it is difficult to apply this product to the soil. A company in Bings has now developed a special machine for this. The BIPESCO team Innsbruck of the University of Innsbruck in cooperation with a partner has developed a liquid agent based on Beauveria brongniartii, which can be applied into the soil with the help of this MMExit machine. .

Plagued by cockchafers - New technology for mountain regions
"Engerlings can cause great damage in grassland, and Vorarlberg, among others, is severely affected by this. A new technique has now been developed for tackling this problem. Dr. Strasser, from the University of Innsbruck, was so enthusiastic about the MMexit device that he immediately thought about the requirements for the active ingredient".
