Note!
As a result of the admendment to the Student Support Act a number of new regulations – most of them improvements – for recipients of study grants came into effect in winter semester 2021/22.
Disabled students with a degree of disability of more than 50% are entitled to receive grants two terms longer (per study section). Students with specific disabilities, as defined by the regulation of the federal minister, are entitled to receive study grants for a longer period and/or are entitled to receive higher grants. The age limit for disabled students at the beginning of their studies was raised to 35.
