9. Apr, 15:00: Finding black holes with artificial intelligence

Intermediate mass black holes have masses between 10^2 and 10^6 solar masses, and have proven hard to find and observe, to the point that their existence is still in doubt. I present my data-driven approach to detecting intermediate mass black holes in star clusters.

I show that realistic simulations of star clusters can be used as training data for machine learning models, obtaining encouraging results for an eventual detection based on actual observational data.
