  • historical archaeologies from the early medieval to the modern period in Central Europe
  • burial archaeologies, archaeologies of modern  conflicts (in particular the Nazi period)
  • identity formation processes, mortuary practices, subversive practices as driving force of social and cultural change, the archaeology of social spaces
  • theories and methods of historical archaeologies
