Wolfgang Zach

Mag. phil., Dr. phil., Professor

Chair of English Language and Literature at the University of Innsbruck since 1994. Head of Department between 1995 and 2004.

Graduation (English and German Studies, Philosophy, Paedagogy) and Habilitation: University of Graz; Professor and Chair of the Section "New Literatures in English" at the English Department of Graz University before his appointment to the present position. Visiting Professor/Research Fellow at the University of Münster, Mansfield College Oxford, University of Trieste, National University of Singapore, University of Nigeria, Doshisha University Kyoto, University of Halle-Wittenberg, Concordia University Montreal etc. Former Vice-President of the International Association for the Study of Anglo-Irish Literature and of the European Association for Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies. Hosted several international conferences and received various awards for his scholarly work. (Co-)editor of two journals and three series of monographs.
