M.A. (London University - with Distinction) in Comparative Education with Dissertation on "Reforms and Restraints in post-war French Education",
Ph D (London University) in Comparative Education with thesis on "The Politics of Education and the Professionalisation of Teaching in Austria".

Teaching Experience

  • 10 years teaching French and European Studies in British secondary schools.
  • 4 years teaching English in grammar schools in France and Austria
  • 2 years teaching English at King Faisal Air Academy + British Council, Riyadh
  • 2 years as Academic Director of former Innsbruck International High School
  • 9 years teaching Cambridge courses at WIFI, Innsbruck
  • Lecturer in Comparative Education at the universities of Innsbruck and Klagenfurt (1982-1995)
  • since 1989 teacher of English (Comprehensive Language, Composition, Translation and ESP) at Institut fur Anglistik, University of Innsbruck)

Main interests

  • Language teaching methodology
  • ESP and Comparative Education (especially teacher education)
  • Freelance translator for English, German and French
