Emese Malzer-Papp

Emese Malzer-Papp ...  grew up in a bilingual environment where the love for languages, literature and arts strongly affected her development. At the age of 14 she came to live in Austria and acquired four more languages during her school and university education. After successfully completing her translation studies in English and Spanish, she worked in an international environment. Her work enabled her to deepen her language competency and experience multilingualism in a very broad context. As soon as she discovered her passion for teaching, she took up English and Spanish in a teacher training program at the University of Innsbruck. She is currently working as a language trainer with children, youngsters and adults of migrant and non- migrant backgrounds. The diversity of age and language mix offers her the opportunity to study the influence of multilingualism on the cognitive and metacognitive abilities of multilinguals. Her research interest focuses on language acquisition and development in early language learners.
