Report on visit of Vice-Consul Rebecca Resnik and Ulrike Zimmermann
    to the American Corner Innsbruck

On Thursday, June 18th, the Vice-Consul Rebecca Resnik and consular official Ulrike Zimmermann made a trip to Innsbruck for a long day of meetings and services.  First, there was a presentation by Ms. Resnik on studying and researching in the U.S., with special attention to visa issues.  10 faculty and students of the University of Innsbruck came with many questions concerning specifically their individual cases, but also general questions.  Ms. Resnik then met with two students interested in learning more about diplomatic service and the steps/processes involved.  She was able to give much practical advice and encouragement.

Following these meetings, Ms. Resnik and Frau Zimmermann conducted American Citizens’ Services from 12.00-4.30pm, serving a total of 29 people, while also meeting with the president of the Austro-American Society/Tirol chapter for 30 meetings total in the afternoon.

The American Corner Innsbruck is pleased to participate in these consular events and grateful that such contact and services are available to U.S. and Austrian citizens living in the western part of the country.
