Recognition Award for Dr. Ivan Paulmichl

Dr. Ivan Paulmichl was awarded a recognition prize for his dissertation "Numerical modeling approaches to the oscillation roller-subsoil interaction problem" by the jury that selects the best dissertations of the University of Innsbruck for the Award of Excellence. Hypo-Tirol-Bank Dissertation Award 2020 for Dr. Ivan Paulmichl

Dr. Ivan Paulmichl was awarded the Hypo-Tirol-Bank Dissertation Award 2020 for his dissertation "Numerical modeling approaches to the oscillation roller-subsoil interaction problem". The planned award ceremony on September 17, 2020 had to be cancelled due to the spread of the Corona virus. More information can be found here (in German).

During the award ceremony of the Tiroler Wissenschaftsförderung (TWF), Nadia Gremer and Benjamin Hirzinger received funding for their research projects at the Unit of Applied Mechanics. More information can be found here (in German).

 

Austrian Geotechnics Award 2019 for Raphael Heiniger

During the Austrian Geotechnical Conference, Raphael Heiniger was awarded the Austrian Geotechnics Award (2nd prize) for his Master’s Thesis supervised by the Unit of Applied Mechanics. More information can be found here (in German).

 

Best Student Paper Award 2016

At the Dies Adademicus on March 18 2016, Dr. Lukas Moschen, former PhD student and Research Associate at the Unit of Applied Mechanics, was awarded a Best Student Paper Award for outstanding achievements as junior researcher at the University of Innsbruck.

On May 21, 2015 Dr. Alexander Tributsch, former PhD student and Research Associate at the Unit of Applied Mechanics, was awarded the prestigious VCE Innovation Prize for Excellent Research in Structural Engineering for his dissertation „Structural health monitoring of civil structures based on vibration energy considerations“.

Nomination for the Austrian National Award for Consulting 2011

The collaborator of the Unit of Applied Mechanics, VCE Holding GmbH, was nominated for the Austrian National Award for Consulting for the project SEISMID, which was supported by the ZIT - the Technology Promotion Agency of the City of Vienna. The certificate was awarded on December 1st, 2011 in the Oktogon of the Bank Austria in Vienna.

Best Practice Award

The project "Dynamic compaction of soils by the Rapid Impact Compactor" funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and conducted by a consortium consisting of the Unit of Applied Mechanics (University of Innsbruck), TERRA-Mix Bodenstabilisierungs GmbH and Geotechnik Adam ZT GmbH was honoured with the Best Practice Award in the field of "research facilities and competence centres" on November 16th, 2009 during the BRA.IN Day held in Linz (Austria).
