Layered beams with interlayer slip
Beam theories are developed to predict the static and dynamic linear and nonlinear response of layered members where flexibility of the fasteners results in a relative displacement of the layers at the interfaces, taking into account initial curvatures or imperfections in the beam axis.

Hybrid control strategy
Innovative concepts for controlling the dynamic response of earthquake excited structures are designed and validated by numerical simulations and experimental tests, for a passive hybrid control strategy for base-isolated structures with Tuned Liquid Column Dampers or Tuned Mass Damper Inerter.
