French-Austrian-German Workshop 2012
Call for Papers
French-Austrian-German Workshop on Consumer Behaviour
November, 29th – December, 1st 2012
Innsbruck, Austria
Submission Deadline: June, 1st 2012
Workshop Co-Chairs:
Hans Mühlbacher, Andrea Gröppel-Klein,
Patricia Gurviez, Abdelmajid Amine
About the Workshop:
Francophone and German speaking countries formerly had rather different research traditions and were separated by a language barrier. In times of globalization and social media, formerly separated cultural areas become increasingly connected. With this workshop we intend to provide a platform for scientific exchange and networking between francophone and German speaking researchers, as well as researchers from all around the world who are interested in consumer research conducted in French and German.
Contributions should focus on latest theory development and findings regarding any aspect of consumer behaviour. We invite theoretical, empirical, and methodological papers. Research applying quantitative methods is as welcome as qualitative and mixed methods research. The language of the workshop is English.
To encourage an intense scientific discussion we will keep the workshop small (not more than 50 participants, not more than 2 parallel tracks) and allot plenty of time for the presentation and discussion of competitive papers (45 minutes). To encourage informal exchange and networking between researchers, we plan two special dinner events in a typical Tyrolean pre-Christmas atmosphere.
Please electronically submit full competitive papers (no abstracts) following the submission procedure described below. We encourage you to submit your very best work: the copyright for the papers remains with the authors. Up to four top-rated papers of this workshop will have the opportunity to be revised for a “short track” submission to
Marketing – Journal of Research and Management (Marketing JRM) which is the top Marketing Journal in Germany.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming you in Innsbruck!
Conference Venue:
Located in the heart of the Alps in close distance from the German and Italian borders, Innsbruck appears to be an ideal place for the French-Austrian-German Workshop, which intends to connect researchers from different cultural backgrounds. Innsbruck is well known for its historical heritage, its surrounding mountains and its traditional Tyrolean cuisine. Especially at Christmas, the city develops a special flair with its “Christkindl Market”, which will hopefully spread over to our workshop!
