Excursions
We are offering six excursions for Wednesday afternoon. Please note that all excursions are contingent on sufficient interest, and all except the Aqua Dome may be cancelled or shortened due to inclement weather. All hikes and the via ferrata require hiking shoes and proper clothing!
Easy hike
2-3 hours, relaxed pace. After a cable car ride to Hohe Mut Alm, a trail leads across the ridge, then downhill to the edge of the glacier and back to Obergurgl.
Moderate hike
3-4 hours, moderate pace, 500 to 800 m of climbing. We plan to offer two hikes:
Challenging hike
4-5 hours, moderate pace, up to 1200 m of climbing. We plan to offer two hikes:
Aqua Dome
Bus trip to the thermal baths in Längenfeld.
A via ferrata that is 400 meters of climbing and 100 vertical meters, about 3 hours including return hike (description in German). Equipment provided. Suitable for those who have not climbed before if in good condition.
