The mission of the innsbruck university press (iup) is to support the goals of the Universität Innsbruck as both a first rate research institution and an urban university by publishing and disseminating research and other serious works that promote science and its public understanding and enrich the culture of the region, nation, and international community. We seek to publish innovative research and creative work in a wide range of academic disciplines, literature, visual arts and music.

We seek work that contributes to the rich cultural tradition of the Tyrolean area and the region, as well as work that contributes to the intellectual and aesthetic life of academic and general audiences everywhere. We are committed to the University's goal of Internationalization, and to that end seek to publish notable works, both scholarly and creative, also written in languages other than German and English. innsbruck university press is member of the Association of European University Presses.
