Prof. Reed gave a fascinating talk about the challenges of the coastal restoration in Louisiana and the project’s importance for the whole nation.

Prof. Denise Reed is a specialist for sediment dynamics and restoration in coastal wetlands. She has participated in numerous research projects on the Gulf and Pacific coasts of the US as well as in Europe and South America. Her current research focuses on coastal restoration in Louisiana, the Columbia River estuary and the Sacramento-San Joaquin delta. Prof. Reed has been a member of the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of New Orleans since 1998.
